Hi.

I think the one thing that you do have to keep in mind is that there is 
still some variablility from unit to unit within the same model.  So you 
might want to look at several reviews and see if there is commonality 
between them.  For example, I have two Icom T7H handhelds, and they each 
have their own distinct personalities.

I also find that different people emphasize different things, and something 
that might really irritate a reviewer might be something that I don't care 
about at all.  If a reviewer picks up on something that is kind of a hot 
button for me, I'm probably going to pay attention to it.
