The only ones that I know about for windows are the ones like jaws there is
thunder which is freeware but I really don't know about vista which is still
new and from what I have read a very sick baby and even microdoller are
already talking about its replacement.

Hi Mike,
I've been thinking the same thing. I'll stick with XP until Microsoft drops

support for it and then, I'll switch to Linux. I know that there are a
couple of speech output programs that work with the command shell of Linux,
but is there any screen reading software for the various flavors of Windows
like programs that run under Linux?
