Yeah but they are Microsoft and quite often contain DRM management plus you
cant convert them to other codec's like ogg vorbis as the conversion
programs don't seem to have them yet we use MP3 which is used for FM
broadcasts I think we use a higher bit rate around 260Kbps. WMA just not
good enough.

Actually windows media files can be downloaded a lot faster than mp3's on
your faverite p to p software, also they are a bit smaller than mp3's.

MP3 is a music file that can be recorded or played on a computer or many
other devices like phones or IPODs etc. it can be either music or speech. It
uses much less memory or disk space than microsofts wav or windows media.

Excuse me and my ignorance, but just what is "MP3"?  Everyone talks =
about it.  Products are sold for it.  Leo Laport comments  about it =
constantly on his weekly teck radio programs but just what is it?
