Hi;
If you can a ts570 its a nice radio. The voice chip is the vs3 and its
cheap as things go these days. Also if you find an older ts440-or ts450
with no electrical or mechanical issues they too are good radios.

Subject: Kenwood TS-570

Hello:

I am trying to get a second HF rig to back up my Kenwood 480. Can anyone
give me some info about the TS-570? I would like to know how accessible it
is without the voice chip. Also, if anyone has any other ideas about
accessible HF rigs other than the TS-2000 or the TS-480 I'd like to know. I
want the rig to be fairly simple, and to have a direct entry keypad. I also
don't want to spend as much as it would take for a 2000 or a 480. Any ideas
and help would be appreciated. Thanks.
