Hi.

The only fuse holder that I had that issue with was the fuse holder for the
7.5 amp fuse in my old Kenwood TR7625. It got so stinking hot that I
actually melted the fuse holder. However, that stupid little quick
disconnect that Kenwood was using on their mobil 2 meter radios got so hot
on my Kenwood TR751A, that it melted the connector together so you couldn't
get it apart. I never did get it apart, and for the little pigtail that
would have been left, I suspect I would have had to start over with a
completely new cord coming off the board in the radio. I probably would
have used a little heavier gauge of wire and probably would have gone to a
different style of connector, to boot. I've never used Anderson power
poles, but even the good old Cinch Jones connectors would have been better
than what Kenwood used.
