    Yeah, Chris, I have thought of that.

The screw-driver antenna I have on the motor home is called a Predator, and 
it covers all HF bands from 80 through 10.

All you have to do to change bands is use different lengths of whips, and I 
even have something called a Turbo-tuner to help tune the antenna itself, so 
that seemed like a more practical solution to me.

But, you're right:  ham sticks are an interesting way to go, and something I 
might also try.
