I'm not surprised.

I presently have an Icom icr75 in my collection of tabletop short wave 
receivers.

My Drake 8b, Japan Radio Company nrd525 and Lowe 225 Europa seem to all be 
better performers.

I got a good deal on the Icom and liked the speech board option.
