John and Lou,
    Thanks for the continued input.  I dont care how the connectors are set 
up as long as it works, and as long as I can find a headset that works and 
will either plug in or be adaptible.

    Do these headsets have the PTT on it or is this what VOX is for?  Am 
still learning and have only made one club meeting, so its going slow.  I 
can hear the radio ok but find using headsets (as I do with my phones) or t 
coil input with audio devices helps me a lot as most of the background noise 
is reduced.

    Lou, I may still have one of those telephone pickups, will see if its 
buried in here somewhere.
