Correction, my Diamond mount uses RG316 coax.  I think my little Degen DE31
active shortwave antenna uses the rg174, it's very thin and flexible, probly
only good for qrp.

I think you mean RG-174 coax, here's a great article about using this coax,
but I didn't find anything about it's power handling.  BTW, my Diamond
antenna mount for the van uses this coax and has no problem running 100
watts from my FT-900.
