I don't long day and night for sight; and depending on what would be
involved in regaining it (risks, etc.), I may or may not choose to regain
it. But yeah, like the rest of you, there are times I wish I had it. I'd
love to hop in a car and go somewhere when I'm tired of being at home, but
not willing to spend hours arranging transportation and trying to figure out
how to get around in places I've never been. I'd love to browse for hours
in a bookstore. I'd love to run outside and watch the sun rise or set, see
a meteor shower, and just watch the stars. But alas, as things are now,
that's not a part of my life. So I enjoy the blessings I have, and if for
some reason I were to get the gift of sight, I'd enjoy that too. But if
not, I'll have been so busy practicing the habits of praise and gratitude,
that I'll be grateful for what I do have.
