They say they make almost nothing building machines, and need the extra
money to turn a good profit.

I got an HP Laptop with so much crapware on it that Symantec themselves could not
fix their OWN NIS2008 with a remote connection of Log-Me-In-with Rescue.

AFTER I gave them a couple independent shots at it, I got rid of the crapware
and repaired the NIS2008 myself... That told me A LOT about HP AND Norton...
After a five year boycott, that is when I started using the Norton stuff again...
(It no longer sucks as bad as you had heard.)
