Subject: a few more TMV71A questions

  Hi, all.

I am getting very close to purchasing the new Kenwood TMV71A, and have a few
  more questions:

  1. Am I correct in interpreting from the brochure that it is cheaper to
buy the complete computer cable package, rather than buying the programming
and other PC cables separately? I am not sure I need the echo-link pc
cables immediately, but will get them in the complete computer cable
package if I'll save money in the long run.
  Yes, that's correct Tom.

  2. Can memory lists created for the TMV7A, and other older Kenwood radios,
be imported into the TMV71A programming software? I guess one way to find
out is to simply try it, but maybe one of you already have done so.
I don't know however, I want to find out because, I have a TH-d7A and I would like to merge the files.
