Hi Richard,

Years ago I had a Mosley SWL vertical and found the beefiness of the 
aluminum better than the Cushcraft R5 or Butternut HF 6V I've had since.

Don't know if Mosley uses  the same aircraft grade tubing in the verticals 
as they use in their yagis, but if so, it would be  pretty strong.  To me, 
the Cushcraft aluminum seems lawn chair grade and the Butternut  somewhat 
better.

I looked at the Mosley site, and noticed that some of the verticals are 
referred to as 1/4 wave with optional radials, but the others aren't called 
1/4 wave.  Perhaps these are considered to be  1/2 wave like the Cushcraft's 
and  they can get buy with no real radial system?  Just like the Cushcraft's 
use those little decoupling  stubs at the antenna base.
