On a recent trip I lugged along my laptop to keep up with e-mail. It has a wireless connection that works fine on my home network. However, on the road, it would not connect at all. I got a message to access KB871122 and install Wireless Zero Configuration. Of course, not being able to connect to the net, I was powerless. This happened repeatedly.
On arriving home, I searched the net for WZC and while I can now install it, found too many articles discussing WZC woes and how to uninstall it.
I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed - install or not? Recommended alternatives? If I install it, might it interfere with my home set-up?
My OS is Windows XP, Professional.
