Kathy Jo,

It sounds like your regular doc isn't taking your pain too seriously. I'd
ask him/her for a referral to a physical medicine doctor. Don't remember if
you're closer to Madison or Dubuque, but there are at least two in either
town. Here's the website for the professional association for physical
medicine/rehabilitation doctors: www.aapmr.com. If it were me or Janet,
I'd go to Madison, as the ones there are affiliated with the medical school,
so they _might_ have more experience with CP. In Wyoming there's one doctor
who's board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and he's in
the same town we are. He's also the one who does pain management, but his
physiatry practice is primarily sports medicine.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
