I think I have one of those MFJ speakers like you're referring to, but it 
doesn't do as well as the older and slightly-larger radio shack model.

Maybe I'm picky, but I do notice a difference.

I also have a little JetStream speaker, which seems identical to the MFJ, 
but again, I think it's performance is sub-par to the Radio Shack unit.
