Mark, since you've got that many questions let me recommend getting a recorded
manual from Handi-Hams.  I've got it and they tell you about all the buttons.
There are a couple settings you have to use on the 202 for tones etc. and the
function key creates multiple functions for several keys.  The manual is a
single tape from Handi-Hams.
