     "I submit that there is a BIG difference between a mobile radio and 
something that you have to hold up to your ear and strain to understand the 
distorted digitized speech of a cellular telephone."

    Almost.  The fact is that yakking on cell phones is an almost constant 
task, in or out of the car that folks dont switch into a different mindset 
when driving.  And cell phones in the hands of teenage drivers is asking for 
trouble.  A 19 year old was so intent on the conversation via cell phone 
that as he made a left turn he ran over 2 people on a motorcycle.

    Back in the old days, who ever heard of a driver using cb radio causing 
accidents?
