Hi again, Kevin.

I think I'm in agreement with John.  I don't know that I'd sink a bunch of 
money into something that someone else has monkeyed around with, unless you 
have someone who does that stuff pretty inexpensively.  There are a couple 
of guys I know locally who would tackle something like that in their spare 
time, but if he has puttered a lot, you might be further ahead to cut your 
losses and get another radio.  If you are lucky, maybe he just played with 
the alignment, in which case running through the alignment procedure should 
bring it back.  If you weren't lucky, he tried to actually modify the radio 
to make it go places where it wasn't intended to, and if he didn't know 
what he was doing, then you have a mess.
