Are you sure that the utilities support Vista?? I looked at the v-com web
site, and it said nothing about supporting Vista. These utilities were
released late last year while Vista was still officially in beta.
If the computer works okay (particularly the sound and the video), then I
would suspect the utilities, not the computer.
If you think that it is actually the motherboard that is failing, then I
would guess that about all that you can do is try to load the lastest
firmware and nVidia Vista drivers. I don't know what else you can do for a
failing motherboard.

Subject: [PCBUILD] video card and sound card
I am running Fix-It Utilities 7 Pro on Vista Home Premium. I ran Fix it
Wizard and it came back with the following results: Bit Block Transfer -
failed (video hardware, video memory, video driver) WAV Audio Test-failed
(Incorrect/ unsupported driver, unsupported format) Basic Operation-failed
(faulty loopback cable, failing sound card) Gain Test-failed (faulty
loopback cable, failing sound card) DC Offset Test-failed (low quality or
failing sound card). Any suggestions on how I can correct these problems?
I am running nVIDIA 6150 chip.
