Ellaina's mother, Blanca, was adopted by my sister and her husband from 
Guatemala when she was 5.  I believe she married a Caucasian man, but I 
don't know his nationality.  Blanca doesn't really know her birth family, 
but once, when she heard the name Elena, (I think Spanish people spell it 
this way), it hit her hard, so they figure it might be the name of her birth 
mother.  Thus this is the name they gave their baby, though it is spelled 
Ellaina.
