If none of you have ever heard of a fairly new singer named Josh Groban I
think you'll enjoy him if you do a web search and listen to some of his
music. I heard him on commercials for his new album "Closer" and though I'm
not usually influenced by such commercials I was impressed with this guy.
His song "You Raise Me Up" is sort of a Gospel song (or can be taken to be
one in a crossover kind of way). Though it does sound an awfully lot like
"O Danny Boy." Guess they can get away with that since "O Danny Boy" is so
old it's probably beyond copyright protection. My favorite song of his,
though, is "To Where You are" which has been interpreted by some folks as a
song for those who are out of one's life, including grief. During my search
I ran across a website for a family who lost their Christian son and had
this playing in the background. It had me sobbing.
Anyway, if you haven't heard him yet you should check him out. Great stuff.

PS Hey, Julie, he even did "O Holy Night" and a great job. Smile.
