Dear Friends of the Celiac Community:
Yesterday I suffered a significant bout of lower tract discomfort and
related challenges. It was not a pleasant time and today I am still quite
sore. I lost four pounds in the process. This is the first time in the
past four years, since discovering that I was Celiac, that I have had such a
severe reaction. In fact, I had thought recently that perhaps I was
decreasing in sensitivity to wheat products. However, I think all of the
symptoms point to ingesting wheat some time this past week.
I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion in terms of settling the lower
tract after such a bout. Is there some sort of natural product that would
help relieve this feeling of tenderness and loss of appetite? I will hope
that the symptoms will gradually diminish over the next few days. If not, I
will need to consult with a GI specialist to get a sense of the seriousness
of the situation and what treatments might be feasible.
Thanks for your input.
Dave ( a 62 year old recovering Celiac)
