OK - here's my next question - was this on the insurance company's
website or did you call the insurance company to confirm? If they told
the insurance company they are accepting new patients covered under the
plan and they aren't, really, then they are not supposed to accept
anyone covered under that plan. In other words if they have a contract
with that plan for billings, etc., and they don't cover a participant,
they may be in breach of contract. You need to talk to a customer rep
at the insurance company.
If this was on the website, then the website might be out of date - you
need to call the insurance company to speak to a rep and see if they
will act on your behalf.
