Well everyone, I finally did it.
I bought myself a TS-2000. I shouldn't have, I won't be able to buy anything
what so ever for a very long time now, but I had the money on 1 of my cards,
I'd been thinking about it a lot the last couple weeks and the way I figure
it, I have classes from the end of January to the end of May. That means my
peak radio time, is from now until January 28th since I'll be outside when
they end in May. Based on that, I just called HRO and placed my order. It
will be here tomorrow along with the VS-3
I had a little harder time with the digital recording unit, that will
probably be here Friday or next week but that's alright. I found it to be
handy on the TS-570, not a real need though. I figured I might as well do it
all at once since now I have effectively put a spending freeze on myself,
the AL811H and TS-2000 and tuner to handle the AL-811H all in the last 2
weeks is more than I ever had any intention of spending though the amp I got
a really good deal on. I'm making up a quick programming file right now so I
can get it up and on the air fast with the software. I'm looking forward to
this one about as much as I did my TS-940 6 years ago, too bad that broke
and I sold it since someone offered me as much for it not working as it
would be working.
Now I just need to see if I can afford to keep everything I have currently.
