Hi Tom;

The radio is usable if you have the software.

However, get a Kenwood TM-G707A.

The radio will do exactly the same things as the ICOM and, you can use a VS3 speech chip in it.

  Subject: [BLIND-HAMS] mobil rig question

  I'm looking for info on an Icom rig. The number is a 208. Its a dual band
  mobile rig. There's a guy in town who's blind and bought one but knows nothing
  aqbout it. Didn't find anything on icanworkthisthing.com.
