Hi,
I know that cell phones are not amateur radio, but this is radio related.
I'm hoping that someone on this list might have info that would be helpful.
Does anyone know of a way to contact someone in the Software group of
Verizon Wireless? New phones have been brought out by LG Electronics that
could be very accessible if a few talking features were added. I learned
from LG last week that a new Sprint phone is going to be introduced called
the VX5500 or something like that that will speak most menus and text
messages. Now I need to get to the powers that be at Verizon Wireless to
ask for access similar to what Sprint customers are going to receive. The
Corporate concrete firewall around Verizon Wireless is not easy to break
through. If you know of anyone who works for Verizon Wireless, please let
me know. As I've said, these new phones have both voice input and text to
speech output that need a little additional software help to really make
these phones GREAT!
