In a word... no. A CD is an optical recording that uses a laser beam
to sense areas that can reflect or not reflect (the ones and zeros
that a PC loves so much).
A floppy disk on the other hand is a magnetic recording. The read head
of a floppy disk senses the polarization (N-S) or the reversed (S-N)
polarization of the sections of the disk. A strong magnetic field like
a magnet can scramble these north and south polarizations making the
disk unreadable.
