Laurie,

If you have the Acronis Backup Program version 9 or 10 you can
transfer WinXP from the old location to the new. Over the last
couple of years I have done this successfully with no problems.

When the transfer is complete the program will shut down your
computer in order for you to make your new hard drive the Master by
changing the jumper settings.

Hopr this helps, George

Subject: Transfer of xp partition

I currently have XP on E: I'm going to get a bigger disk
& transfer XP to what will be C: Friends tell me this can't
be done, though their explanations as to why seem rather
vague. can it be done? What problems will I encounter?
Laurence
