John and Vicki were able to come to church this morning. Afterward, at
home, John had a coughing spell and began having, apparently, very sharp
chest pains. They should be at the emergency room now. John would kill me
for telling you this but he needs prayer about it. He is afraid of needles
and of course they always start up an I V as soon as you get checked in in
case they need to quickly pump some meds into your body. I have prayed with
people concerning this very thing and it almost always is based upon
something they experienced earlier in life and often as a child. John had
some bad experiences like this when he was younger. I had to freaking stick
my fingers 5 times so far today for only two blood readings. I hope I do
better when I take the last of three readings tonight before bed. I hate it
and often literally say ouch out loud. I've had 15 major operations, and 4
or 5 minor ones in my life, so I don't like being stuck either. They have a
topical to deaden your skin which they can use which makes it so you can't
feel the prick in your arm. I told John, the E R doesn't use it but I would
tell them, I don't like needles. Get out the topical or I won't let you jab
me. I ain't proud and besides, we pay big bucks for this stuff through our
insurance so why suffer. Please don't forget Vicki about all this, too. It
is like my friend Keith says sometimes, They are one hurting unit. Vicki
isn't flying through this thing stressless either and she is one hurting
unit.

Phil.
