Hi Tom,
First, run disk cleanup and then run disk defrag. That should help a lot.

Subject: Off Topic: Nagging Windows XP Question

Hi, all.

Lately, I have been noticing a problem with this particular PC, and I think
it's a Windows XP problem.

Specifically, I use a number of shortcut keys for various applications in
Windows. These include alt control W for Word, alt control O for Outlook
Express, and alt control D for Duxbury.

What I am noticing is it is taking longer and longer for a particular
application to come up, once the particular shortcut key combination is
pressed. Sometimes, it ttakes as long as 30 seconds to a minute!

I don't have this problem on my laptop computer.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing these delays, and how I might
get rid of them?

Thanks, and 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ
