To do a tone scan first make sure the tone function is on and when it is on
you start tone scan by just pressing and holding the tone function key 1
second. I think this also turns on the tone squelch.
You toggle through the different tone modes by tapping the tone function
key. You will hear Beep, Beep, Boop. The Boop means tone function is
turned off, the first beep is transmit tone only, the second beep is
transmit tone and tone squelch. The tone key is the second function key
from the left.

Ken:
This brings up an interesting question which I should know the answer to,
but don't.
How can you do a "tone scan search" on the TMV7A?
I'm sure it's buried in the manual somewhere, but if someone knows right
off
the top of the head, I'd really appreciate the info.
It's hard to know whether the tones listed in the repeater directories are
truly accurate all of the time.
