Those are pretty normal prices. For 2 meter only, you can't do better than 
the TM-271A, I have cheat sheets and stuff for that radio. that's a Kenwood, 
really all the Kenwood mobiles are very accessible, the duel banders have 
speech boards you can buy for them for frequency and stuff.
