i was thinking of going with yaesu only because the handheld i had somewhere 
in the mid 90s was what i wouldnt say was extreemely user friendly but if i 
knew how much the frequency step was, i used the ol' counting method but 
then again, thats not really handy6, never owned an icom but i know a lot of 
people like them
