I didn't catch what kind of router you have.  My linksys came with 
wireless disabled.  The router should automaticly assign the computer an 
address unless you have  the computer set to a specific address.  If 
you're running xp, you can find out a lot of stuff by going to command 
prompt and typing
ipconfig /all
