Hi all,

I just thought I'd encourage you, in a strange sort of way.

We have had two brothers in our church who have had quite serious accidents
in the past year. They are both personal friends of ours. Tim broke both
wrists very badly and the left would not heal at all for ages, and also
broke his pelvis. He's back at work full time now (at the end of several
months, but still has some limitations on his driving, though he is
beginning to do long distance again.) More recently Steve broke his hip and
thigh and has it pinned. He's returned to church now and is on crutches, so
no driving or any serious walking yet.

Yes, we've been praying for these friends, of course, and want to see them
well. However, the interesting thing is that their comments about what they
have not been able to do have time and again reminded us that they're not in
it for the longer haul, as we already have been and will be, unless the Lord
chooses otherwise. Steve said tonight that he knew now what we felt as he
sat still in a corner and couldn't get to anyone to talk with them and they
didn't come to him today. Tim's wife was telling me the other week that
they didn't know how they were going to be able to go on holiday and they
just couldn't do without one. They have now organised a time away.

I am so thankful that He knows our real true feelings and He is touched with
our infirmities!

I guess this makes me realise that I must be careful when commenting, "I
know how you feel," because most of the time I probably don't!

Sorry for my rambles, but hopefully you'll get the gist.

It's time I got off the computer as it's been a tiring weekend and I'm not
thinking too well right now.
