You might grab an accessible MP3 recorder such as the Olympus DS30,40, or 50.  You can take the audio from a line-out into the Olympus or other MP3 recorder and record it.  Then, you can take the unit, connect it to your computer and upload the files from the unit to your PC.

  It seems I wasn't the only one with mp3 questions.  My nontechnical problem 
  is that the computer and cassette deck are on opposite sides of the house. 
  The stereo is the type that the cassette decks are built into the receiver. 
  Anything can be moved but it sounds like work.  I was hoping for a stand
