I agree.  This is probably either a last ditch effort to revive AM or run it 
off the air altogether.  Why pay for a digital receiver to listen to the 
same trash we could listen to free now?  No one is going to spend the money 
for a digital receiver for AM unless it is included as part of a package. 
And if the NAB is so against paid radio, then let it do something about it 
instead of just running anti-satellite radio spots, or trying to ruin 
satellite services by getting a foothold into them to bring them down as its 
corporate puppets did with commercial broadcasting.
