Hello again,
thank you all again for the help you offered on last message.
I have one last question .... I have done all the advice that was offered; that is: I unplugged all the hardware to the motherboard, but still nothing changed; computer will not boot.
My question is: Is it safe to assume that the motherboard is the culprit after all the tests were done by removing the hardware from the motherboard and still dont get any screen ?
Thank you all again

disconnect all hardware from the mother board reseat memory chips start up again see if you get a screen come up. if so enter bios hold down key to enter the bios. should tell you which key on screen.shut down the pc reconnect the floppy drive and the hdd see if pc boots if so enter the bios again and redetect the hard drive save settings and exit shutdown the pc. reconnect rom drive start up and se if pc boots. If problem comes back theen its the last device connected thats the culprit. check all cables red strip on cable to pin one on all devices. If you have removed the cpu its necessary to install with a dab of thermal paste before you clip the heatsink and fan to the top of the cpu.If the pc is several years old a new bios battery may be required.regards john..
