A collegue asked me to setup a new HP laser printer (1018) on his PC and
laptop. I succesfully installed the printer on the PC running windows
98! I was shocked that when I attemoted to install it on an HP 530
laptop it could not be recognised. There was an error message " the usb
device has malfunctioned". I tried to reboot so that the laptop could
pick up the printer but to no avail. The laptop is running Vista.
