Hello All,
I've just purchased a new Dell B110 desktop computer for my wife but elected
not to order any speakers at that time, planning to buy them after I'd had a
chance to review the various Dell speaker options and their specs.
.
This done and while shopping eBay for suitable speakers, I found a Boston
Acoustics BA735 Digital Speaker System (three speaker system with subwoofer)
in black that I believe would be a good match both in audio performance and
appearance for the new Dell system.
Having owned a Boston Acoustics BA635 speaker system (non-digital speakers)
in the past that came with a Gateway desktop computer, I'm generally
familiar with 'The Boston Sound' and like it because the BA engineers
managed to pack a lot of clean sound into a relatively compact system.
The new Dell system has integrated audio with a standard audio output jack
(output jack looks like a headphone jack), and I've been informed by Tech
Support at Dell that this system will support speakers that require a
digital audio signal to work.
As I've never seen a set of BA745 speakers in person, my question for
everyone is will I require any special connecting cable or adapter to
connect these digital speakers to the new Dell?
PCBUILD mailing list subscribers have a broad range of experience with a
wide variety of hardware, so I'm confident one or more of you will have
in-depth knowledge about compatibility and connection options of this BA745
speaker system with this particular Dell desktop system.
As always, many thanks!
Jeffrey Ottie
