Hi, don and others.

Before you spend money on the display, call one of the Kenwood service
centers.

Early runs of the TMV7A had a high failure rate with the display, and
Kenwood was replacing those displays free-of-charge.

All I had to do was ship them the removable control head, along with the
serial number of the radio. I had the new display within ten days.

This was about 2 years ago, so I don't know if they are still supporting
that problem.
