Hi

I'm sure that many of us have wasted money on radios for one reason or
another.  But I think the best way of choosing the right radio for you
is to speak to end users.  Go to rally's / Ham Fests and your local
radio club.  Amateurs are almost always egger to tell you about their
radio.  They'll allow you to hold the radio and may even allow you to
turn the controls etc.

Its funny, but I guess that many of us remember our immediate
impressions of a radio as soon as we held it.  Rather than it's
capabilities.

You can always look for reviews of particular radios.  Or sometimes,
when one is for sale on ebay, the description is very well done.
