Only a certain CD, or "any" CD<???>

I can't boot my machine with a certain blank CD-R type (210M)
in the drive, so I don't... (grin) (Maybe other, I never tried it...)

Some burned CDs have a corrupted filesysten, and that type of
problem generally either sends Windows "off into the woods",
or drives it crazy in other ways.

If it happens with "any" CD, I'd boot to safemode, delete
ALL CD drives in Control Panel, and re-boot.

Following proper anti-static precautions, makesure the cables
to it and all drives are clean and firmly attached.
Clean them by carefully putting them on and off several times.
Be sure to "not" bend any of the pins.

If nothing seems to help, you might have to consider the drive "toast"...
