Recently somebody asked about a problem running SB cards under Vista.

The Creative web site now has beta drivers for many of its products. I
could not get one to work with my old card (perhaps I downloaded the wrong
driver), so I bought a new SB XtremeGamer. The drivers that I downloaded
were able to make that card work with Vista as far as I can tell.

Anybody who has "upgraded" to Vista and is having sound problems with their
SB cards should check the creative web site for a new driver, if they have
not already.

HTH
