Chris, more info would help, but having had it happen to me, I'm going to
assume it's a Windows98 OS, and you're having problems with using your
programs.
Here is a link to the microsoft knowledge base article, but be advised none
of it worked for me. I finally gave up with it, formatted the drive and went
and bought XP.
