Vicki, please quit "shoulding" on yourself.  You had lots to deal with in 
the past few weeks.  It's okay not to be finished.  Enjoy the fact that 
you've got a professor who understands.

This is worse than baking a cake.  I feel like I should be finished for the 
semester but I'm not.  I have a paper hanging over my head.  On the other 
hand, the proff could have given me an F, or made me take an in-complete. 
But instead, he was very kind and willing to work with me, given the events 
of the semester.
