I've been "in" and "out" of church for fair periods of times over the past
thirty plus years, sometimes feeling there was no church for me and I could
go on with God anyway. It's true, to a point. I did go on with God, but
(on reflection) I wasn't really accountable to anyone, nor did I have to
suffer the treatment of other Christians (which I reckon can sometimes be
the worst to bring out the best in us). On balance, Kathy, I do agree with
you and am glad, whatever the failings of my church, that I do have one.
Anyway, it can't be "perfect" because I'm in it! <Smiles>
