Phil,
I prefer to dress well, also, as a sign of respect for my
savior. I don't care what other people think. I'm not dressing for
fashion or show. I'm dressing well because I want to take the time
to prepare for worship. In the old testament, if you came like a
slob before the Lord, you would be rejected, and that God in the Old
Testament, is one and the same with Jesus. Why do we think that
Jesus doesn't care.

It has been discovered that there are a lot of attitude problems in
those companies that allow dress down days or casual Fridays. The
sloppier that people dress, the less they seem to care about what
they produce. It's all based on attitude.

I remember a pastor telling us a story once about a guy who always
dressed casually for church. One Sunday, he showed up in a
suit. The pastor couldn't help but notice because the change was so
significant. The person explained, "well, I have an Amway meeting
after church." Why did he care more about how he looked for Amway
than for God?
