Subject: I Love You
It is true,I’ve never been where you are today,
So I can’t say
With true honesty,
I understand….
But, I love You,
I don’t now the depression,
Or feeling of loss,
Over sight gone away,
I have never seen before,
So I can’t say that I truly understand,But…I love You,
The frust5rations,
The agravations,
Of health issues,
Doctors bisits, pills and bills,
I can’t say that I have been there too,
But I love You.
I can’t say I can fix it,
Or make things all new,
I can’t tell you a reason,
You’re going through what you’re going through,
I can’t tell you the future will be so much brighter,But I love You,
I’ll be right here,
No matter what the day brings,
So, you can be happy,
Be angry,
Feel sad and say you wish you could die,
And I’ll still say,
I Love You,
It’s more than a feeling,
Apromise I made,
That I intend to keep,
I love You.
I wrote this poem because lately Ben has felt really depressed. There is a
place on his right foot, they are doing tests next week and think they may
have to remove a toe, not sure yet. His blood sugar has been great these
past few months, but you know how it is when a person is diabetic…little
things don’t heal easily.
So, I wrote this and will read it to him later today. Sometimes I feel so
sad, I can’t do anything to make him feel better, dialysis makes him feel so
tired, and then on days he hasn’t been there he has had all day long
appointments at the hospital, it must be frustrating, do please pray for us,
Ben and me too,
Thanks
Rhonda
